The word “snow” brings many thoughts to mind. For some it is fun, beautiful and exciting. For some it means sledding, snowball fights and making snow angels. For others it means something completely different. It means icy roads, dangerous drifts and a plethora of car accidents.
Massive new arenas stand in various degrees of construction. Hotel reservations are already filling up. Stores and restaurants stock their shelves in anticipation of the crowds to come.
Although I’ve written many papers since starting at Rochester College last year, I remember very well the first paper I wrote. It was a descriptive narrative essay for Composition A. This three-page paper was the catalyst that opened up a whole new world in my life.
Sex. It’s everywhere. We find it in television, speech, commercials and pretty much any media form out there. It surrounds us and impacts us daily. I was reading an article for marketing class the other day and the question of whether or not sex was becoming too much of an influence on people was asked.
Congratulations to President Barack Obama on winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Errrr, wait, it’s a Peace Prize? Don’t you have to make a large contribution to world peace to be awarded one of those?
